Is my donation secure?+
Yes. We use secure SSL/HTTPS encryption to help protect your information while using our website. Donations made through our available payment methods are handled securely. As additional online giving options become available, we will continue using trusted payment providers that meet industry security standards.
Is this donation tax-deductible?+
Help On Arrival, Inc. is organized as a nonprofit organization. Donations may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Please consult your tax advisor regarding your individual tax situation. A donation acknowledgment will be provided for eligible contributions.
How do you identify patients in need?+
Cases come to us through hospital social workers, chaplains, community partners, and family members. Every referral is verified before we commit funds.
How are hospital bills verified?+
We work directly with the facility's billing office for an itemized statement, then confirm the discharge terms in writing before any payment is made. Funds are sent directly to the facility, never to the patient or their family.
Where do you serve?+
Our work is focused on Africa: hospital detention relief and food, clothing, hygiene, and basic medical support for people in African jails and prisons.
Can I volunteer remotely?+
Some volunteer work can be completed remotely. In-person support may also be needed for meetings, outreach, and community activities.
